This October will be my twelfth year with Mind Altering. Being a tattoo artist has been my dream since about 8th grade, and I’ve always loved the idea of putting my art on people forever. For many years I would get approached to draw up a picture so they could get it tattooed. I found it very flattering that someone would be willing to get my art on them for the rest of their life, but it would be even better if I could do it myself and make a living doing it.

I tried several times to acquire an apprenticeship between the ages of 18-23. There weren’t many shops in the area at that time, and if they were fully staffed you were out of luck. Life got in the way for many years, and one wonderful day the opportunity, kind of fell in my lap. Been living the dream ever since. I really enjoy doing black and grey, geometric, and watercolor, but I’m always willing to branch out in different directions. I surprise myself all the time.
