GETTING TO KNOW NYX:

Nyx had this to say…
“I’ve always had an interest in tattoos since I was a kid. I loved looking at my mom and dad’s tattoos, to me they were the coolest thing ever.”

“I love getting to connect with people. I also love how different every tattoo is. Some are sentimental, some are just for fun!”
“I am definitely excited to how my work progresses, and how far I can go in this field.”

“Some of my favorites include; horror series Alien, I love System of a Down and Avenged Sevenfold, and my favorite stand alone horror movie is John Carpenter’s The Thing. However, second place is Christine. I love schlocky horror.”

Being a tattoo artist has been my dream since about 8th grade, and I’ve always loved the idea of putting my art on people forever.

Tattooing has been an eye-opening experience, I’ve been able to express myself and my art in so many ways.

Abi is just starting on her tattooing journey.

I go by Sparx, I have been an artist at Mind Altering Tattoos for going on 15 years. I can do just about anything, I specialize in Black and white realism.

I’ve been fascinated with the power of a tattoo and what it gives to someone. I find inspiration in various styles from our shop to the crazy Instagram artwork online.

Deni Has 8 Years of Experience as a Tattoo Artist & Has Been Away from Mind Altering for Roughly 2 1/2 Years.
We Are Excited to Have Her Back in the Shop!!

When Asked About What Excites Deni as a Tattoo Artist, She Had This to Say…
“It's like watching people write their own story on their skin, discoving pieces of themselves and capturing each one and immortalizing that part of themselves. Each tattoo or piercing is like a time capsule full of memories.”

Deni Enjoys Doing Anything Spooky/Witchy, Botanical, Watercolor, Memorial Pieces, Cover-Ups, Paw Prints & Nerdy Fandom Pieces When it Comes to Tattoos. However, Deni, Like Many of Our Artists, is Quite Versatile.

When We Asked Deni What Her Guilty Pleasure/Vice is… She Admitted That She’s “Low-Key” Addicted to Burrito House. 😋

I am a Body Art Technician (that’s a fancy way of saying I am a tattoo artist & a body piercer). I have been in the industry for roughly 15 years.

After many years of mastering my mediums, I began working with what I considered the “forbidden medium.” My favorite forms are stipple shading and geometrical linework.
